The $10 ones in the store felt very thin and rough. Drool and spit-up do not show up on this creamy colour. When baby's diaper leaked during a feeding yesterday I scrubbed in some prewash stain remover thoroughly before putting the cover in the wash. I love this cover too much to get a stain on it and, being a plain colour, a dark stain would show up more easily. If it was more patterned I probably would not have been so thorough as any light mark left after washing would be hidden in a pattern. Apparently there's much more selections online than in the maternity/baby stores. We love this organic, neutral color. It works well with the colors in our home. Love the understated, cute pea design.
